Damian Lillard takes 914 3-point shots before missing two in a row

1.3k Upvotes

On the trailblazers-Jazz broadcast yesterday, Trailblazers broadcaster Lamar Hurd shared an anecdote with 3.50 to go in the first quarter, that over the offseason while recovering from his abdominal injury, Lillard performed a 3-point shooting drill on the Noah Shooting System (a shooting/ball recovery machine at the Blazers practice facility). It took Lillard 914 attempts from the 3-point line before he missed two in a row. He was shooting for over an hour.

Edit: would appreciate if someone in comments could find a clip, so people stop saying i'm lying

Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green threw a punch at teammate Jordan Poole at practice on Wednesday, sources told ESPN.

The two players had been verbally sparring prior to some pushing, which escalated when Green took a swing and made contact with Poole, sources said. Team officials are reviewing the episode, sources said.

Poole wasn't hurt by the punch and completed his workout before leaving the practice floor on Wednesday, sources said.

It is possible there could be some punishment meted out to Green for escalating the practice encounter, sources said.

[Bondy] Jeremy Lin on whether Carmelo Anthony’s jealousy pushed him out of New York: “I can't feed the speculation train because I don't actually know. I know, & I'm saying this truthfully, that there were multiple points of opposition completely outside of Melo within what was going on”

Jeremy Lin on whether Carmelo Anthony’s jealousy pushed him out of New York:

”I mean, I think that's… that's the theory, and that's what everyone says, but I can't feed the speculation train because I don't actually know. I know, and I'm saying this truthfully, that there were multiple points of opposition completely outside of Melo within what was going on, and once D'Antoni resigned, there was already opposition within the organization-whether it was the coaching staff that took over or certain members of the front office. But there was definitely, from what I've heard or gathered in the few years after, it wasn't all as rosy as people thought it was. I don't know who to attribute it to, but I know there were multiple points of opposition.”
